Preface Static spectrum allocation hinders the efficient use of spectrum, one of the most valuable and fundamental resources for wireless communication. Spectrum auction, which enables new users to gain spectrum access and existing spectrum owners to obtain financial benefits, can greatly improve spectrum efficiency by resolving the problem of artificial spectrum shortage. However, spectrum auction design faces significant challenges due to the nature of the spectrum, including reusability, spatial and temporal availability.
